How much does a Dover and Canterbury day trip cost in 2026?

The cheapest are the coach trip from Blackfriars and the Go Tours UK small group (up to 16 guests). The castle combos sit in the middle. The English Bus small group costs the most.

What is not included in the tour price?

Lunch and tips are excluded on every tour here, and Canterbury Cathedral entry is excluded unless you pick an option that includes it.

Do you pay to visit the White Cliffs?

No. The White Cliffs of Dover are National Trust land and free to walk; the only charge is the National Trust car park for people who drive.

The visitor centre cafe and shop are the only places to spend money on the cliff top. The Fan Bay Deep Shelter, a set of wartime tunnels under the cliffs, is a separate guided tour (£15 per adult, £7 for ages 5 to 17, says the National Trust). None of these day trips includes it.

How much does Dover Castle cost?

Gate prices are about £27 to £30 per adult in 2026, depending on the season, with lower prices for children and concessions; English Heritage offers up to 15% off online.

The Anderson tour includes entry. The English Bus stops at the castle for about two hours, and you pay on the day: book online by midnight the day before to get the discount. Most other tours only see the castle from outside. English Heritage sells timed tickets and says the Operation Dynamo section of the wartime tunnels is closed for maintenance (checked 7 October 2026).
